Product & Service Literature Specialist

Permanent position

Located in East Texas – relocation assistance provided

Salary: DOE

Our client, a leading, multi-billion dollar global manufacturer, is in need of a Product & Service Literature Specialist. This position will coordinate the development, publishing, and distribution of technical product information for all division equipment. The literature is used for equipment selection, installation, operation and maintenance of equipment by field sales, distributors, dealers and consumers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure accurate preparation and on-time availability of assigned technical literature on new and current products.
  • Write, edit and format technical documentation (Installer’s Guides, Service Facts, Use & Care, Product Data, Performance Data and Catalog Pages) using technical experience and communication skills to convey proper installation and operating techniques.
  • Work with product and service literature manager, product managers and program managers to develop and execute literature plans for NPI programs.
  • Lead multiple literature projects, taking them from start to finish, with little supervision.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ yrs. technical writing experience, experience using desktop publishing software (FrameMaker and Arbortext preferred), experience using computer illustration software (Adobe Illustrator preferred), and experience preparing files for printing and posting to the Web. HVAC experience a plus. Six Sigma knowledge and experience a plus.

Technical Writer Contract Position, EDS, Little Rock

Hello
I'm recruiting for a Technical Writer contract position in Little Rock, AR. The responsibilities and requirements for the temporary Technical Writer positions include, but may not be limited to the following:

-Develop official provider notices
-Maintain provider manuals
-Create and distribute CD manuals
-Maintain user and systems documentation

Candidates for the temporary Technical Writer positions should have the following qualifications:

-At least bachelor’s degree in a job related field
-At least two years of full-time work experience performing editing and technical writing
-Ability to communicate orally and in writing
-Ability to work cooperatively
