SOP Technical Writers (4 positions), Bentonville, AR
Technical Writers Needed to Document SOPs
We are working exclusively with our client in locating 4 Technical Writers to document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Deliverables include executive summaries, tool kits (listing out key tasks), tools, play books (how to implement these procedures in a prescriptive manner), and other documents as necessary for 8 key parts of the business.
Would like 1 of the 4 consultants to take on more of a supervisory role. The consultant will interface with 25-30 SMEs who have already begun to identify content. The consultants will collaborate with client to build out templates, and pull the information to ensure that it is in a format that is scalable, usable, and repeatable.
Required Skills:
Strong Technical writing background (5+ years)
Instructional Designer background acceptable with technical writing experience
Documentum preferred
Experience with MS Office skills
Ability to work 100% onsite from 12/2 to 12/19, remotely from 12/22 to 1/2 (at least 40 hours total during those 2 remote weeks), then onsite 1/2-9.
Start Date: December 2nd. Phone interviews to begin immediately.
Duration: 4-5 weeks
Location: Bentonville, AR. Local candidates only

Grant Writer, UALR, Little Rock
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock invites applicants for the position of Grant Writer (req#621) in the Nanotechnology Center. Support for administrators, scientists in the Nanotechnology Center and other researchers at UALR conducting nanoscale research for preparing proposals and contracts and identifying funding opportunities.
Essential duties: Assumes responsibility for and assists in the development, processing, and submission of grant and contract proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies. Researches and collects pertinent data needed for grant development. Prepares summary reports of grants and contracts as needed by UALR administration and funding agencies. Responsible for identifying potential sources of funding; works with UALR personnel to develop proposal budgets and to meet requirements for proposal submission; works with subject matter experts to develop and write proposals to submit to identified agencies or private organizations. Performs related duties as required.
Education: Master’s degree in technical writing or related field preferred. Minimum experience: 3 years experience directly related to grant development, funding research, writing, and preparation for submission.
Required qualifications: Knowledge of grants, contracts, and applications and familiarity with electronic submission requirements from a variety of sponsoring agencies; working knowledge of grant development and management process; strong interpersonal and computer skills; ability to work collaboratively; excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple priorities; and professional demeanor
Preferred qualifications: Experience writing in science, engineering, or nanotechnology; experience in higher education, federal government, state government, or industry working as a grant writer.
