STC-Arkansas Home

The Arkansas chapter of the Society for Technical Communication invites you to attend its October meeting entitled "Simplifying your life with forms." This meeting is Saturday, October 18, from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. at UALR room SUA106C. (See the UALR maps for directions.) The meeting is free, and STC members and the public are welcome. You do not need to be a member of STC in order to attend.

Multimedia designer Fredie Smith will guide participants through the following hands-on activities:

• How to create forms from a template, a scan document, and from scratch. Acrobat allows you to create forms multiple ways, providing the user a quick and efficient way to receive feedback from your audience at little to no cost.
  
• Distributing and compiling form data from your forms. Fredie will demonstrate how to use Acrobat to track and manage forms distribution. He will demonstrate what the audience sees and show some possible applications for forms.

Fredie Smith is the owner of Thoughts to Ink, a multimedia design company that produces business-to-business advertising and marketing materials. He has ten years of experience working with Adobe products, including Acrobat. Prior to his work at Thoughts to Ink, Fredie served for three years as a multimedia specialist at Camp Robinson’s Professional Education Center. He is a UALR graduate with a bachelor’s degree in professional and technical writing.
