Planning Documentation Projects -- March 10th
Meeting Room D is in the Diamond or main dining area of the Donaghey Student Center, closer to the Rhetoric and Writing dept. and farther away from the UALR bookstore. Meeting Room D (and several other meeting rooms) are just down the ramp on the left as you enter the main dining area.
Melissa Britt of Acxiom will speak about planning documentation projects. Here is some information about her presentation:
"Lack of proper planning for any project can lead to serious problems, such as missed deadlines, scope creep, blown budgets, and improper stakeholder expectations. General project planning practices can help you avoid these problems. However, there are also special concerns for documentation projects, such as improper topic coverage, poor choices in document format, and missing information. Documentation projects require specialized planning to avoid these problems.
Topics in this presentation include:
--Why is it important to properly plan for documentation projects?
--How do you plan a documentation project?
--What are the most important aspects of documentation project planning?
--Once you have completed and executed a plan, how do you keep it on track?"
Melissa Britt is a manager at Acxiom and has a Master's Degree in Professional and Technical Writing from UALR. She has many years of experience planning documentation projects.

Meeting February 10th
We are having a meeting this Saturday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. in Stabler Hall – Room 501. We never heard back as to whether we would have the tax information presentation, so this will be a follow-up planning meeting to nail down dates for our calendar and some other administrative items.
