Plone CMS at February Seminar
The third installment of our Saturday Seminar Series was held on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 11 am to a packed house. The topic was website design and content management. Joe Williams from UALR's Department of Rhetoric and Writing discussed some of the challenges involved in organizing information in a large website, and he will describe some benefits of using the Plone content management system to address those challenges.
Plone is an open-source content management system, which means that it can be downloaded for free and customized to meet the needs of diverse organizations. Joe will compare Plone to other available management systems, tour some websites that currently use Plone, and explain how he is planning to use Plone to transform Rhetoric and Writing's website into a dynamic, user-friendly resource for students and faculty.
